What stays in Jira

Jira remains the source for your projects, issues, permissions, and PDF attachments. The PDFPins app runs on Atlassian Forge and uses the current user’s Jira access to retrieve information.

What PDFPins stores

Forge storage holds the information needed to map issues to a plan: project, issue, and attachment identifiers; plan names and attachment filenames; file size, checksum, and page count; pin coordinates; record state; timestamps; and fields used to coordinate changes.

Plan names and filenames may contain personal or confidential information. They are customer data, even though PDFPins does not store the PDF bytes or live issue fields.

What is processed temporarily

Your browser retrieves PDF content and visible Jira issue information for viewing, filtering, and export. Issue information may include its key, summary, status, type, priority, assignee display name, and due date. These values are not written to PDFPins storage.

The app checks Jira responses to authorize operations. Its Forge metrics use fixed event names and counts, without customer content or identifiers added by PDFPins.

Hosting and sharing

The app uses Atlassian Forge and Jira Cloud. Its current architecture has no vendor remote, advertising service, third-party analytics, or AI processing service receiving your Jira content.

Atlassian provides the underlying hosting, storage, and platform processing. Its platform terms and your organization’s Atlassian agreement apply to those services. See Atlassian’s privacy policy.

Deletion and retention

Removing a pin deletes its PDFPins location. Deleting a plan removes its stored PDFPins metadata and associated pins, through a resumable deletion process. Jira issues and PDF attachments remain; manage those separately in Jira.

Atlassian currently retains Forge hosted storage for 28 days after uninstall. Reinstalling does not automatically restore the earlier data. Recovery requires customer consent and a request within 21 days of uninstall; recovery is not guaranteed by PDFPins. See Atlassian’s hosted-storage documentation. Uninstall is not an immediate-erasure promise.

Exports

PDF exports are created and downloaded in your browser. Exported files contain a snapshot of the plan and issue information you can access. Your organization controls how downloaded files are stored, shared, and deleted.
